Accounting Services: Bookkeeping and Financial Statements
You started the business to do the work, not to reconcile it. The tax return, the loan application and most decisions about hiring or buying read from the same books. When the books are late or wrong, so is whatever depends on them.
Accounting work is scoped per client. We look at what you have, what you need and who is already doing part of it, then we handle the rest. What that covers is built around the business, so it looks different from one client to the next.
We work in whatever accounting system you already use, including QuickBooks and NetSuite, as long as it is a true double-entry system. We are accountants and technologists both, and we have spent years using, configuring and managing these systems. Most bookkeeping problems turn out to be system problems, and those are fixable.
How we help
- Ongoing bookkeeping: Transactions categorized, accounts reconciled, and the books closed on a regular cycle instead of once a year
- Financial statements: Balance sheet, income statement and cash flow prepared consistently enough that period-to-period comparisons mean something
- Cleanup and catch-up work: Bringing neglected or broken books back to a state you can rely on, including prior years
- System selection and setup: Choosing and configuring accounting software around how the business operates
- Budgets and analysis: Turning the statements into the handful of numbers worth watching each month
Accounting and payroll are usually run together, and the returns we prepare read straight from the books we keep.
